BIOGRAPHY
Clair Bidez is the kind of young, explosive rider who makes the future of U.S. Snowboarding look dominant. This halfpipe specialist from Colorado loves getting out and traveling on the competitive circuit. Her only regret is not having more time to ride with friends back home at Copper Mountain. But she isn't one to put an ultimate goal on her riding, to Clair, it's about "constantly pushing myself and progressing as much as I can, while still having an awesome time."
UPDATE
The 2009 season wasn't exactly what Bidez had hoped for when, after finishing eighth at the season's first stop of the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix tour, a nagging injury demanded she sit out the rest of the year to heal and prepare for the upcoming Olympic season. FIRST TRACKS
Clair was a nine-year-old ski racer in Colorado when she went to watch her younger brother Dylan compete in his first USASA nationals. She hasn't skied since.
I AM
Dancing, music, sushi, Led Zeppelin, slippers and learning how to play the guitar. Aside from riding and rock starring, Clair headed to Mississippi for a week in April of '06 to assist with the Hurricane Katrina disaster relief effort. She's also planning on working with the Boarding for Breast Cancer project in '07.
